Exclusive Behind-the-Scenes Images: Danielle Harris in Michael Rosenbaum’s Horror Short Fade into You
Here at Dread Central we love us some Danielle Harris so any time she dips her toe into the horror blood pool, we try to be right there to give you guys the scoop! Case in point: Michael Rosenbaum’s new horror short Fade into You, which not only looks appropriately sticky but has now drilled that Mazzy Star song completely into our heads for the rest of the day.
The flick stars Harris and another DC fav, AJ Bowen (House of the Devil, The Signal, Hatchet II), and as you’ll see from the splattery good behind-the-scenes imagery below, it is also home to some killer effects work from Erik Porn of Rob Hall’s Almost Human.
According to director Michael Rosenbaum:
“I wanted to do something that actually scares me. One night I was sitting in my jacuzzi, alone of course. And my dog starting growling at something. I felt so vulnerable. If someone was lurking around the corner, I’d be pretty much screwed. Because… A). my dog is a pussy and B). I’m completely naked.”
“Fade into You is romantic comedy thriller,” Rosenbaum continues. “It’s something that could happen to anyone, anywhere. Just when life seems to be going your way, your past comes back to get you. I’ll leave it at that. And yes, the short was inspired from one of the best songs ever made, Fade Into you by Mazzy Star. Haunting and beautiful. I just hope she allows me to use her song. I’m the biggest fan.”
The trailer for Mchael’s film Brothers Justice has finally been released it looks really funny and I cannot wait to once again see MR in a cowboy hat!
Brother’s Justice, follows actor Dax Shepard as he tries to radically change the direction of his career. Known as a comedian, Dax is met with strong opposition while trying to secure financing for his martial arts film. With maniacal conviction, he takes a bizarre path that becomes increasingly nonsensical and destructive, exploiting every relationship he has along the way.

Michael tweeted last night which is always lovely to see but cryptically he said he had been filming but what? Could it be his new show for Syfy Saved by zeroes? Lets hope so we are so excited for that project!
I recieved a lovely email from Karoline at Serieasten.TV
saying I could post these links so here they are and I have also added them to the video and audio page on the main site. Its two great videos made by the site at Michael’s recent appearence at the Rogue Events Insurgence Bloodlines convention in London this year. One is a great overview of the weekend with conversations both with the fans and the actors who attended and the other is a collection of interviews with the actors who attended so enjoy…
Insurgence Bloodlines actor interviews
I have added a great interview I came accross back from when MR was promoting Sorority boys and there are some great quotes in there:
“With all the horror in the world and all the crap that’s going on, for an hour and a half you go eat some popcorn and laugh with your friends. That’s what this movie is all about. You just go and have a good time. And really, for an hour and a half, you get some good laughs. I swear to God, there’s a couple good laughs in there.”
“I just looked in the mirror and I waited about five beats and went, “Mom?” Honestly, when she saw a preview, she called me and said, “Michael, all my friends say I look like you.” I go, “Mom, I’m a man. This is not good.””
And about Smallville:
“But let’s say it lasts 10 years.
MICHAEL: It’s not going to last 10 years. I won’t let it go 10 years. I really won’t because my contract says ‘X’ amount of years and that’s what I’m doing.”
